Terms & Conditions - UK Removal

1.1 Please read these Terms carefully before placing your booking with UK Removal. These Terms cover important information about our services and those provided by our Partners.
1.2 Each clause in these Terms is independent. If any clause is found unlawful by a court or authority, the remaining clauses remain effective.
1.3 You guarantee that all goods being transported are your property, or that you have permission from the legal owner to transport them.
1.4 You must provide UK Removal with your current telephone number and email address. If these change, please inform us immediately. Accurate and current addresses for pickup and delivery are required.

2.1 Access to our website is permitted on a temporary basis. We are not liable if the site becomes unavailable for any period. We may amend or withdraw services at our discretion, without prior notice.
2.2 Customers must be at least 18 years old and must provide valid, up-to-date contact information, including a working email address.
2.3 You are responsible for ensuring that you and others accessing the website through your internet connection comply with these Terms.
2.4 The website may only be used for lawful purposes. You must not use it for fraudulent or illegal activities or any that breach relevant laws.
2.5 You must not transmit any harmful data, including viruses, that could harm the operation of any software or hardware.
2.6 You must not duplicate, copy, or resell any part of our website unless explicitly permitted by these Terms.
2.7 We reserve the right to determine if there has been a breach of these Terms and take appropriate action as necessary.
2.8 We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. Please check this page periodically, as changes will be binding once made. Other notices on the site may also supersede these Terms.

We regularly update our website, but we are not obligated to update any material. We may suspend or close the site temporarily for updates.

If you use our online pricing model, where prices are instantly visible on the calendar or website, you agree to be bound by the prices displayed. Please refer to Clause 9 for information about our and our Partners' liability, which may be limited.

5.1 What These Terms Cover: These are the Terms and Conditions on which UK Removal (and our Partners) provide services to you, whether as a private customer or via our own team.
5.2 Definitions:

• Additional Domestic: Domestic services within the UK, including ferry or water crossings.
• Basic Compensation Cover: Covers up to £50,000 in total for fire and full theft (including total theft of your goods) and £50 per individual item, with an aggregate limit of £50,000.
• Booking: Acceptance of your booking request by UK Removal Ltd.
• Booking Request: The process of filling out the online form to input your moving details.
• Comprehensive Inventory List: A complete list of all items and inventory being transported.
• Comprehensive Insurance Cover: Covers physical loss or damage to your goods up to £50,000, available as per Clause 10.3.
• Contract: Created when we accept your booking request, provide a quote, and you confirm to proceed with a price option.
• Domestic: Services within the UK, excluding travel that involves water crossings.
• Hourly Rate Job/Hourly Rate Vehicle: Refers to the respective terms in Clause 4.
• International: Services outside the UK, involving transportation or services provided by our partners outside the country.
• Job Number: Assigned upon confirming your booking, to reference your booking when contacting us.
• Job Sheet: Document confirming the completion of services to a satisfactory standard.
• Partner(s): Refers to any partners of UK Removal involved in providing services under these terms.
• Private Customer: A customer acting as an individual, not in connection with any business, trade, or profession.
• Services: The services provided by UK Removal or our Partners as per these Terms.
• Van Size/Volume Size: Options for selecting the appropriate vehicle for your goods, based on either a comprehensive inventory list or your own calculations.
• Waiting Time: First 30 minutes are free. After that, £30 per hour for each person and each van/truck will apply.

In addition to the other services We provide, UK Removal / Our Partners also provide an Hourly Rate Service (Hourly Rate Job). This allows our customers to book Our Services on a time basis as set out below. This Clause 6 only applies to Hourly Rate Jobs and will only bind customers who book Hourly Rate Jobs (in accordance with the terms of this clause 6).
6.1 If you wish to book an Hourly Rate Job when completing the Booking Request Form, you must provide a summary of the Services that you require, in sufficient detail to enable Us to undertake the Services together with the additional information requested in the Booking Request Form and select the Hourly Rate Job option on the Booking Request Form where indicated.
6.2 You must indicate in the Booking Request Form the size of vehicle that you require us to provide and whether you require an additional staff member (in addition to the driver).
6.3 Once UK Removal has received the Booking Request Form, we will provide you with Price Options in accordance with clause 2.5(a). This will reflect the information provided by you when completing the Booking Request Form and the type of vehicle that you have requested for (Hourly Rate Vehicle).
6.4 Whilst UK Removal shall endeavour to provide the Hourly Rate Vehicle you requested in your Booking Request Form, this may not be possible, and you may be allocated a different type of vehicle.
6.5 If on arrival to undertake the Hourly Rate Job, the Services that you actually require are in Our and/or Our Partner’s opinion materially different from the information provided on the Booking Request Form, then We reserve Our right to immediately terminate the Contract. You will not be entitled to a refund as it will be considered a breach of the Contract by you, in accordance with clause 7.3(a).
6.6 In addition to the exclusions set out in these Terms, if you book an Hourly Rate Job, transport of the following is excluded:

• Pianos
• Motorcycles
• Any Vehicles
• Full house removals
• Packing service

6.7 If, when undertaking the Hourly Rate Job on your behalf, it takes longer than the time that you specified in the Booking Request Form, UK Removal will email you as soon as possible with details of the additional charges you have incurred. Such additional charges must be paid by you to UK Removal before unloading.
6.8 By entering into this Contract, you acknowledge that the Hourly Rate Job may take longer than the time specified in your Booking Request Form as a result of events outside of Our control; however, the additional charges referred to in clause 6.7 shall still apply. If the Hourly Rate Job takes in excess of one hour more than the time requested in your Booking Request Form, UK Removal/ Our Partners are entitled, at their discretion, to cease providing the Services at this point, and you will not be entitled to a refund. The additional charges for any extra time that We have spent providing the Services will still be due and payable by you.
6.9 The Price for all Hourly Rate Jobs shall include:

• One driver, and
• 5 miles of fuel

6.10 If you request an additional staff member to assist you, the cost will be included in the Hourly Rate Job Quotation, and any additional fuel required beyond the 5 miles included will be charged at £0.50 per mile and shall be payable.
6.11 The following clauses of these Terms shall not apply to You in respect of any Hourly Rate Jobs.
